Boring Holes in a Granite Counter Top for the New Tap Set

		Masking tape is applied to the surface for protection. A ring is siliconed to the surface to which water is poured into to cool the diamond coated boring bit. Using a hand held borer the hole is percisely cut to accept the tape set retaining stem. Each cut-out takes approximately 5-10 minutes. The hole currently being cut is for the main tap set and the completed hole to the right is for the soap dispenser.

A Slate Tile Kitchen Backsplash With Decorative Inset

		This backsplash uses a smaller version of the slate floor tile set in a diagonal pattern. Within this a decorative inset is being placed directly over the gas cook top (covered by drop sheet). Each tile is individually site cut and adhered using a thin-set mortar. A typical backsplash installation takes one to two days to complete.
